Friends for Life
Today we began the friends for life program. It will go for 8 weeks and teaches us about emotions and looking after ourselves and one another. We even got some homework!
Zone Athletics
Well done to our Sone Athletics team. You all did Timbumburi proud. Special congratulations to Ella, Dylan and Tahlia who qualified for regional!
The Conscious Farmer
Today we had a visit from the very interesting Conscious Farmer, Kirrily Blomfield. Her farm near Caroona practices environmentally friendly farming practices. They value the importance of regenerating native vegetation, moving their livestock around regularly and protecting the root systems of plant life. It was a fascinating talk.
Gallipoli
Zoe and some helpers have been working very hard to re create the scene of Gallipoli in 1915. While the pictures don’t quite do it justice, it was amazing to see the amount of detail that Zoe was able to create in her Minecraft masterpiece.

Debating
This week we have had three different debates. We defeated both Nundle and Quirindi before both of our debating teams came head to head against each other. Timbumburi 2 defeated Timbumburi 1 after they successfully argued that contact sports should be banned. Well done, debaters!

PSSA Hockey
The year of PSSA sport continued with some very strong performances by our hockey teams. Our boys had two solid victories 2-0 and 9-0 before going down to Tamworth Public. The girls had a big 7-0 win before going down to Tamworth Public 2-1 in a last minute thriller. Well done, teams.
