100wc – Week 23 – Tania

Pushing though the earth I wait for rain as I watch the dry paddocks blew as the wind gets weaker and the farm got dryer and the animals get thirstier. The days pass by slowly and it gets hotter and hotter. I sit in the office looking out the window I do it each and every day.I think of rain.I dream of rain. But it is still not here. Blue sky’s, bright sun and dry paddocks. It has been two years now and there is still no rain it’s still blue sky’s, bright sun and dry paddocks. Days go by and we still wait for the rain to come.

100wc – Week 23 – Duncan

Quiet. Mute. Soundless. There was no sound at all. I had a bad feeling about that. It was too quiet. There was a sudden rumbling. the ground was shaking. “What the heck? What was that?” I exclaimed. Then I saw it pushing through the earth. It was so mysterious. It looked a lot like some sort of machine. Sort of like a drill. Suddenly out of nowhere, a portal appeared. There was a voice coming from the machine, but I couldn’t understand it. The thing went through the portal. I followed it. That’s when I found out what it was. It was amazing what it could do.

Fantastic. Beautiful. Amazing.

Wow i have never seen this before. Its something spectacular. I cant believe my eyes. For many weeks i have not seen this much water. The weeds and the grass pushing through the earth. Even the trees are starting to grow. I am so happy I don’t have to give up my farm. It makes me feel like I’m back alive. my heart is pounding like a drum!
